Population growth

The graph shows the population growth between two types of country, poor countries and the richer countries, between 1750 and 2150.

In 1750 the poor countries population was much smaller. The richer countries started to grow in 1850 to 2050 and showed the number of richer people in more developed countries. From 2050 to 2150 it will stay at the same level, one billion. In 1950 the poorer countries population rose to two billions. From 1950 to 2050 the number of poorer countries sharply rose. But from 2100 to 2150 it will stay at the same level.

In conclusion the number of people in the world will increase, mostly in the less developed countries.
