Portfolio Task 4

There are two different methods that parents use to teach their children, such as competition and cooperation. Some families think competition is important for their children success and they need to compete their rivals to win and reach their goals. Other parents think cooperation is the useful way for their children to reach their goals and to thrive. Competition and cooperation are important skills that all children need in their life.
Teaching children how to compete is an important aspect that they need which pushes them to do well. It also lets them be more creative and to draw their unique way of thinking. Teaching children to compete prepares them for the world. In the competition, children will learn how to accept to lose and to learn from their mistakes. To be competitive children will try their best to be excellent in different ways. It also, teaches them how to be perfect in all their work.
Children who learn to be cooperative with their colleagues tend to be successful in teamwork. They learn how to overcome their weakness. They learn how to handle any problems they face with their peers. As is known people in the work need to have the cooperation skills to finish their job and they need other people idea to end up with great jobs. Therefore, it is important to teach children to cooperate with their peers.
To sum up, competition and cooperation are important skills that a family needs to teach to their children. Parents need to encourage their children to be competitive in some special situation and to cooperate with their peer in teamwork. I think if parents need their children to be different and achieve success they have to teach them the importance of both competition and cooperation. Moreover, they need to define the difference between these two skills.
